Our Vision and Mission

Imagine your children arriving each day at a school where the teachers believe in them, accept them for who they really are, empower them, and develop their self-awareness and personal growth. Already today, we are working to make this dream a reality with a strong mission and a well-structured plan.

“Project Hinuch” (“Education Project” in Hebrew) aims to enhance and promote recognition of the essential elements in human education: attentiveness, acceptance, awareness and presence. Our goal is to ensure that all Israeli children encounter teachers who accept them as they are and help them develop self-confidence and belief in their capabilities for self-fulfillment.  Many supporters and professionals are excited to start working together to make this happen already at the start of the upcoming school year!
The Program

As we believe that the most important educational agent is the teacher, we are focusing the program on teachers throughout Israel. In order to grow teachers’ awareness of the essential educational elements, we will provide them with a weekly workshop throughout one school year.

At the very heart of these workshops is the teacher as a human being and as such, teachers will work to explore and enhance their self-perception as educators. This will be achieved via theoretical studies as well as simulations and hands-on experience, combined with personal coaching for each teacher throughout the program.
The workshops are based on an open dialogue between the participants, who will share their personal experience from the field.
This will allow for a therapeutic dialogue based on the Socratic element “know thyself”, whereby the teacher’s self-awareness increases his/her ability to meet each child or group of children, with all their complexities. The workshops will include learning and experiencing key educational skills, as well as addressing each participant’s personal needs.

We believe that through observation, an open dialogue and integration between theory and practice, we can improve the effectiveness of each teacher’s educational actions. Therefore, our program includes:

• Guest speakers: 10 meetings with education and therapy experts.
• Coaching: personal guidance and support for each participant, allowing a private setting for integrating between the personal process and the professional practice.

Needed Funding
An investment of $67,000 to achieve the following:

• Build awareness via:
  • Content creation and distribution – as a call for action on the personal, community and political levels.
  • Lectures and round tables with teachers, principals, parents and the general public.
• Budget for the teachers’ workshop, including:
  • Lecturers and guest speakers
  • Personal coaching sessions for each participant
  • Travel and equipment
• Budget for operations:
  • Administration
  • Legal counsel
  • Accounting

We aim to establish an operational system that will support the project’s long term sustainability and expansion, to further promote and enable the educational change process.

The more teachers we reach, the more children we can enrich.

In case we don’t reach the required investment, we will implement the program without the workshops during the upcoming school year.
